Seth Godin gets us thinking: 'What do you think matters now, the most?' (say, in the upcoming new year). It could be anything from changing your lifestyle to changing the world.
My answer: following childhood dreams.
The reason why childhood dreams are so important is because as children we dreamed 360 degrees. Our childhood dreams not only talk about what career path we want to chose but also the sort of life we want but most importantly they talk about the kind of people we want to grow into.
They tell us if we want to be at a desk job or be a sailor, be in love or be madly in love, drink road-side tea or drink tea in a cup and saucer, have one best friend or ten best friends, make a difference to the world or change it completely, be a good person or be the best person ever, see the city or the whole world and the list goes on…
Childhood dreams are the closest to perfection that one can ever be and the best part is that they always end with … and they lived happily ever after.
PS: this note is inspired by a little dreamer who made me smile at the simple things in life!
